Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)

During the Hurricane Katrina/Rita relief efforts in 2005, LOGISTICS 2020 supported FEMA in the state of Louisiana. Our primary mission was to provide a 24 hour 7 day a week operation for meals, showers, latrines, power, and lodging. Due to the mass devastation in western Louisiana, FEMA twice requested us to provide mobile base camp support as their hurricane assessment teams moved into the decimated areas of Lake Charles and Cameron Parrish, LA.

With each move deeper into the storm affected area, LOGISTICS 2020 was able to hire and tap the expertise of local personnel to support FEMA operations. This approach provided a tremendous morale and economic boost to affected communities and created long term personal friendships and business relationships. During this period, President Bush visited the vicinity and recognized our efforts in the Lake Charles Operation.
