LOGISTICS 2020 developed and implemented a logistics plan to support 180 plus personnel in a remote desert location in support of Presidential Priority Mission #37. The mission was to open and exhume several mass graves thought to be filled with remains of war crimes victims and gather evidence for Iraqi War Crimes Trials.
The first task our team had was the clearing and construction of a secure parameter. Subsequently, prefabricated shelters, showers, toilet, and dining facilities were moved into the compound. Simultaneously, septic systems were installed, power grids were constructed, and satellite communications established. Food storage areas and living quarters were erected and air conditioning provided throughout the base camp. The final touches were placed on the base camp on the thirteenth day and the DoJ team began their mission two days ahead of schedule.
