William E. Mortensen

Vice President
Lieutenant General (Ret) William E. Mortensen — Following his graduation from Montana State University in 1973, LTG Mortensen was commissioned initially as an Infantry officer, followed by a transfer to the Transportation Corps following completion of his combat arms branch detail. LTG Mortensen later completed his Masters Degree in Business Administration at Boston University, and also graduated from the Army War College.
Following his many and varied formative logistics assignments, LTG Mortensen later held numerous key strategic positions throughout the Army. During his lengthy career, LTG Mortensen has commanded troops at every level, from Captain to Major General, and completed numerous staff assignment thus demonstrating his ability to lead in any organizational position. Among these crucial roles, LTG Mortensen commanded the Military Traffic Management Command (MTMC) Deployment Support Command, was the Chief of Transportation at Fort Eustis, Virginia, followed by CG, 21st Theater Support Command in Germany supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and served as the J4/7, Director of Logistics and Engineering for Central Command (CENTCOM) supporting both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
LTG Mortensen has acquired an array of on-the-ground logistics experience and knowledge throughout his career, culminating his 35 year Army career as the U.S. Army Materiel Command’s Deputy Commanding General and Executive Director for Conventional Ammunition at Fort Belvoir, VA. He recently retired from the Army and is a Vice-President of LOGISTICS 2020 Inc., where he will apply his extensive logistics expertise.
